Well Hello There,

Life, as we all know too well, has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way, and for me, navigating the complexities of writing amidst the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic was certainly one of them.

The past few years have been a journey filled with both struggles and revelations and through it all, I've gleaned some valuable lessons that I'd like to share with you today.

Lesson 1: Adaptability is Key

When the world as we knew it came to a screeching halt, I found myself grappling with the sudden changes and uncertainties that lay ahead. Plans were put on hold, routines were disrupted, and the future felt more uncertain than ever before. In those moments, I learned the importance of adaptability - of being willing to pivot, embrace change, and find new ways of pursuing my writing career, even in the face of adversity.

Lesson 2: Creativity Thrives in Unexpected Places

As the world slowed down and we retreated into the confines of our homes, I found solace not only in writing but also in painting. The act of putting a brush to canvas became a form of therapy, a way to quiet the noise of the outside world and immerse myself in the colors and textures of creation. Through painting, I discovered a new outlet for self-expression that complemented and enriched my writing in unexpected ways.

Lesson 3: Career Changes and Learning to Pivot

Amidst the upheaval of the pandemic, many of us faced unexpected career changes and uncertainties. For me, it meant reevaluating my priorities, reassessing my goals, and learning to pivot in a rapidly changing landscape. But amidst the challenges, there were also opportunities - opportunities to explore new avenues, embrace flexibility, and thrive in a VERY different environment. Whether it was adapting to remote work, exploring freelance opportunities, or finding innovative ways to connect with readers and fellow writers, the past few years have taught me the importance of resilience, adaptability, and the willingness to embrace change.

Lesson 4: Connection is Everything

Perhaps the most profound lesson I've learned during this time is the power of connection. Despite the physical distance that separated us, technology allowed us to stay connected with loved ones and to find community in unexpected places. It was through these connections, that I found the support, encouragement, and camaraderie to keep pushing forward, even when the world felt like it was falling apart.

Lesson 5: Resilience is Born from Adversity

In the face of adversity, we discover a strength within ourselves that we never knew existed. The challenges of the past few years have tested me in ways I never imagined, but they've also revealed my capacity for resilience, perseverance, and hope. As I look back on this journey, I'm reminded of the countless times I stumbled, faltered, and fell, only to pick myself back up again, stronger and more determined than before.

Lesson 6: Gratitude Changes Everything

Finally, amidst the chaos and uncertainty, there is always something to be grateful for. Whether it's the small moments of joy, the unexpected blessings, or the unwavering support of loved ones, gratitude has the power to shift our perspective, to bring light to even the darkest of days. And as I embark on this new chapter of my writing journey, I'm filled with gratitude - for the lessons learned, the connections made, and the adventures that lie ahead.

So here I am, standing at the crossroads of past and present, grateful for the lessons learned, the challenges overcome, and the journey that lies ahead. Thank you for welcoming me back into your virtual homes. I look forward to sharing this next chapter with you, one word at a time.
