Dear princess...

In the morning you fall to your knees and say what? God thank you for another day? Or God can you please help me get through this day? Do you find a smile a cure or just a hiding spot?

You're stronger than you believe, they see you. Your smile cannot hide your innermost feelings for too much longer before you find yourself under so much that you'll crack. The tears are just there to wash away the pain, the smiles from others used as Band-Aids to mend your brokenness. But how do you deal with things when you're behind closed doors? The things you say to yourself after a hard day of classes and work crush you more. The blade to your skin as you cry out wanting your inner pain to subside. The food you turn away time and time again destroying yourself. There's no reason to hurt yourself for the things that already have dominated your life on the outside. There's no reason for the tears you cry over the things that have already taken place. There's no reason for you to be so uncomfortable with yourself that you find every way to destroy the very thing God purposely created.

You may feel empty and broken and worthless. You may feel like there's something missing and not just because your daddy wasn't there as you grew into the woman you are today but because you gave yourself away too early. Premature actions with a temporary person with permanent consequences, don't try it. Believe in yourself no matter what is going on behind the smile. Because hidden behind your smile may be the very thing that someone needs to see. Transparency is the key to the door you've tried to open time and time again. Breathe don't let it break you, take a break and remind yourself that you'll eventually make it through, remind yourself that you have a purpose, and that you are the Daughter of The King.

I am

A product of my environment but willing to change

Stronger than she was when she fell into the trap

And more than I may ever believe

A game changer

On the outside looking in

And no matter what happens to me

No matter what happens to you

No matter what happens

I am

A daughter of Destiny
